This Easter may we all enjoy the joy that only comes from our Saviour God, knowing how much He loves us. We were bought at a costly price, Jesus suffered and died in our place, on the cruel Calvary cross, yet, He didn’t stay there. He rose again, defeating death. Jesus is, the same yesterday, today and forever. The only thing that does not change is His Abundant Love and faithfulness to all His precious promises in His word which will never die.

When He ascended into Heaven to be seated at the right hand of God the Father, daily interceding for us, He didn’t leave us without comfort. As ‘born again’ believers, we are given assurance of Eternal Life and sealed with His precious Holy Spirit who comforts, teaches and guides us in our walk as we listen to God. The Bible teaches us that His sheep (followers) hear His voice and we are known by Him. Thank you, Lord.

We are saved by the power of His Holy Spirit and we are ‘born again’ into Christ, no longer slaves to sin as He brings us out from darkness into His Glorious Light giving us eternal life in Him. We see this in the good news of the books of John in the Bible.

‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.’ 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

Easter is all about the gift of ‘New Life’ as we look around this springtime, we see it in all of God’s creation, new born lambs, new blossoms, the budding and opening of new leaves on trees and shrubs and, of course, the various species of spring bulbs that come forth out of the ground, heralding this wonderful season. Traditionally, all gardeners, at this time of year are sowing seeds, whether veggies like potatoes, or annuals and perennials, this is the time to start, or plan for a future harvest.
