Here is a watercolour that was more like a jigsaw to paint. I enjoyed the various stages working with a limited palette of blues. It measures approximately 10” x 14” (25cm x 36cm) I used Hot pressed 100% cotton paper and a mixture of Winsor & Newton paints plus my usual Daniel Smith favourite paints.
One of the best tips I’ve learned this far, is to use the best materials one can afford as it saves lots of heartache that some inferior materials may cause. The best pigments are economical as it is not necessary to use as much of the pigment needed with student grade. Every paper and brush perform differently too as each have their own characteristics. We are all unique beings and what suits one, may not necessarily suit another, so be happy with whatever you choose to do and enjoy the process of being a creative. It’s a wonderful journey!
