‘Derbyshire Scene’ March 2025 after Geoff Kersey.

This watercolour was painted on a sunny tinted Bockingford CP paper. It is ¼ Imperial Size.

After watching the initial sky background wash of the video of the tutorial for Autumn Sunshine (as Geoff named it), feeling inspired, I set myself the challenge of doing my own experimental painting, without the use of masking fluid that encompass much of Geoff’s working process. One day, I will have to check out the whole video to see how it should have been painted!

It was an enjoyable experience even though my life recently has meant it has taken several weeks to complete being able to only paint for short periods, on the odd occasion. Reminder to self… schedule more days to draw and paint.

I do have lots of projects buzzing around in my head and various references that will one day make interesting, hopefully, lively paintings for me. Thank you for looking, enjoy!
