Painted in landscape format it is 11” x 15” on Arches CP paper – this was the final challenge for Draw Awesome to paint any subject in any media, so rather an open-ended challenge. I chose to portray my dear friend whom God used to start me off on this amazing journey into the wonderful world of art.

I am so pleased to say that her husband really likes this painting and also glad to have been able to portray her as I see her, full of love, joy and peace. Her smile is infectious and being such a gentle and artistic person gave me the impetus to want to paint her. I called this my conceptual piece as I was working out the what, where and how I wanted to share her lovely character.
