24cm x 32cm painted in portrait format I wanted to really pay justice to Celia with this portrayal and give a sensitive feel to the skin tones of her face.

Sadly, I used the wrong side of the Canson Mi Teintes paper which caused me to struggle with the blending etc. However, this has made me ever more determined to return to this portrait at a future opportunity when I am more experienced with the whole way of working portraits. Meanwhile, my learning process continues with each new art work.

Art is definitely fun, exciting and a joy filled exploit alongside the challenges. Why not have a try yourself? I’m sure you will be amazed at what is achievable with lots of practice.
