Here is a lovely memory of our Church Day out in early Spring. I've named it 'Afternoon Surprise' because what started out as a very dull cloudy day threatening to rain, turned out to be gloriously sunny in the afternoon. As I have not painted in a while I challenged myself, so much so that, were I to paint this again I would do a few things diffferently. Glad to say it put me back in a good place to paint again and experiment some more. I used my favourite watercolour paints, however a different paper, Hahnemuhle CP paper. It measures 24 x 32cm approximately 9.4 x 12.6 inches.
